About Pilates Mat Work
Mat work classes are challenging and fun, with the goal of increasing strength, tone and flexibility. Each class begins with finding alignment and core activation and progresses to more challenging exercises. Flowing from one movement to the next, you will work the entire body. The classes have a maximum of six participants to ensure you receive quality instruction and obtain the most benefit from each class.
Mat work classes may use small apparatus to provide variety and challenge to the class. Small apparatus includes therabands, magic circles, balls and hand weights.
